Photography exhibition of Exiled To Nowhere: Burma's Rohingya in the Russell Senate Rotunda on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. For decades, the stateless Rohingya community from Burma have been targeted by the Burmese authorities and have endured systematic persecution and ethnic cleansing. In August 2017, the Burmese military along with the local Buddhist community launched a new 'clearance operation' that destroyed hundreds of Rohingya villages and pushed some 700,000 Rohingya out of the country into Bangladesh. This exhibition presents work from 11-years of work, documenting the Rohingya in Burma and in Bangladesh.
